Created by a local potter to our design, each scuttle begins as two lumps of clay. They are thrown separately on a potter's wheel and afterwards melded together into one piece. The beauty of this handmade item is that each one will differ slightly. The natural differences in the glaze along with the craftsmanship of each scuttle means that no two will be exactly the same.* It measures approximately 5” wide in diameter at the top, 3 1/2” tall, and there is an interior depth of 2” for creating your lather.
