Our Cause

Captain’s Choice is proud to support the Midwest Shelter for Homeless Veterans (MSHV).  It is a non-profit agency based in our hometown that provides housing and various support services to help at-risk veterans and their families.  Founded in 2007, MSHV operates on a vision of No Hero Left Behind due to homelessness, joblessness, poverty and/or mental-health issues.

The MSHV, “Helps veterans help themselves,” as founder Bob Adams says.  It provides critical services to give veterans a second chance and help them once again become independent, productive members of their community.  Services include employment search, substance/abuse recovery, financial management, mental health counseling, and case management. MSHV helps over 500 homeless veterans and their family members each year to get back on their feet and become self-sufficient.
